Discuss the difference between legal education in the United States and in another Common Law nation.
You might consider how a barrister and a solicitor are educated in England and Wales.
You might consider how a lawyer is educated in Canada.
This paper should be completed no later than Monday September 24th, 2001.
Students will answer one of the following questions:
i. Discuss the difficulties that Blacks faced historically in gaining admission to law schools in the United States.
ii. Discuss the difficulties that women experienced in the practice of law.
iii. Discuss three law schools that you might wish to attend. Compare and contrast the advantages of each school.
iv. Discuss the incomes of lawyers in the United States.
This assignment is due on Monday October 8th, 2001.
Students will examine two or three cases dealing with lawyers who were disciplined by the bar society of any state in the United States or any province in Canada.
